Sawyer’s year started and ended in the mountains. We celebrated her 18th birthday hiking, and we celebrated her 19th birthday visiting her in Boone and picking out a Christmas tree.
Sawyer wrapped up her high school career this past year. She was very ready to start college, which she also did during her the past yer!
She continued to rock climb and started climbing outdoors a bit more.
She is always up for an adventure. She and Nick backpacked part of the Appalachian Trail this year. She hit the slopes with everyone. She went and helped with the ski partol refresher.
She continued to bake many yummy treats. She also started a new job at a plant nursery (where I think she found that she really likes plants).
Even though she went off to college, she made time to celebrate with her family (which meant two trips home that were not planned).
This year I witnessed Sawyer grow in so many ways as a student, a sister, a friend, a daughter, and a person. I look forward to watching her over the next year!!
