Summer is coming to an end a bit early this year! Parks starts classes on Monday, so i figured I would go ahead and wrap up summer!!! We started the summer off in Georgia at the Divisional climbing competition. Both Sawyer and Parks competed. Parks also got his full driver’s license at the beginning of the summer-no more home by 9pm!
Sawyer and Parks both worked throughout the summer. Sims worked odd jobs on boats between NC and SC.
Sawyer and Nick went to Sawyer’s college orientation! Sawyer and I have spent the summer picking up the odds and ends that she wants for her dorm.
Sims got to race in the Mackinaw Island Regatta on Lake Michigan this year. I think he had some fun.
We didn’t get a beach trip in this summer. Luckily, we did get a day on the river-complete with sun, intense rain, and more sun.
We also spent a good amount of time on the lake too!
Sawyer spent the summer learning how to use the Nikon digital camera and got some terrific nature shots.
Parks got in some downhill racing.
Sawyer and Parks went outdoor bouldering at Greyson Highlands and had a terrific time.
The last week of the summer has been pretty quiet as Parks ended up with stitches and Sawyer had her tattoo touched up-thus, we are out of the water and hanging at home.
Not our most exciting summer, but a terrific one over all. We got to spend quite a bit of time with family-ice skating, swimming, and hanging out. We enjoyed our town and appreciated our beautiful lake!
