  1. Ha ha… Sorry, but this makes me laugh only because I sometimes feel that others think we are pretty nutty for homeschooling, and though I might disagree, what they would read on my blog would affirm their assumptions! 😉 Does that make any sense, or am I just nutty?! 😉 I look forward to peeking around your blog!

  2. Hi,
I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I am also a homeschooling mom. Do you happen to be vegetarians, too?
Anyway I love your blog and would like to nominate you for a Liebster Award.
I know what you are thinking… a what?!? That was my reaction too. It’s one of those viral awards that someone gives you and you then can chose to nominate people. Here is a link to a post http://sliceofshanghai.wordpress.com/2012/12/30/liebster-award/ I wrote which includes the ‘to dos’ like answering a series of questions. Take part or don’t. In any event, you know at least that you have a fan over here. Wishing you all the best for 2013! Fingers crossed!

  5. Hi Sharon, I found your blog through Kristina. I have really enjoyed looking through your posts. We are jumping into this homeschool world for the upcoming school year and I’m so happy to see you are using many of the items I’ve been researching (Waldorf Essentials, Brave Writer, Life of Fred, the d’Aulaire books). If you have any advice to give a newbie, I’d welcome it! We are all excited! Have a wonderful summer!

    • Courtney, I am so glad that you checked out my site. Yes, I heard from Kristina that you were thinking about homeschooling. My thoughts on starting up are pretty simple 1. work on a rhythm first (a life rhythm-school will fit in there eventually) that includes time for yourself, 2. don’t read too many blogs, LOL-it all looks nice on the computer but the reality is that we all have good and bad days but most of the days are pretty ordinary and 3. Enjoy your family and have fun. Please feel free to email me any time- sharon at lifecyclept dot com
